If TypingMaster 12 feels slower than previous software versions, the cause is often the graphics capabilities of the computer rather than the software itself. This is most common on entry-level laptops, older PCs, or devices with integrated graphics.
A simple way to improve performance is to disable Dark Mode.
How to disable Dark Mode
- Open TypingMaster 12.
- Go to Settings.
- Turn Dark Mode Off.
- Restart TypingMaster if requested.
Using the light theme reduces the amount of graphics processing required, which can make the interface smoother on lower-powered computers.
Which computers benefit the most?
You may notice an improvement if you are using:
- Older Windows computers
- Budget laptops
- Devices with integrated graphics
- Computers with limited memory or slower processors
On modern PCs with dedicated or newer integrated graphics, there is usually little or no difference in performance.
Will turning off Dark Mode affect my lessons?
No. Disabling Dark Mode only changes the appearance of the application. All lessons, statistics, settings, and typing features remain exactly the same. If you continue to experience performance issues after disabling Dark Mode, make sure Windows graphics drivers are up to date and close unnecessary applications running in the background.
